Just getting used to it so far. Love it. Big step up from my lovely K11 R2R which I now need to sell :p

Can someone give me a quick lesson on how to use Topping Tune? The PEQ software?

like what is Low shelf filter or high shelf, Q factor etc?

I installed v.166 firmware and I notice PEQ settings is now in the menu, didn't notice it before and All i've done so far is clicked the presets on the left and I can see why people like this.

High shelf just affects all frequencies above the set frequency by the gain you specify and low shelf is the same but affects all frequencies below the specified one. Q factor affects the severity of the increase curve, so you can use it to adjust how rapidly the gain increases or decreases around the set centre frequency. In the screenshot you've shared you can see that the negative pre-amp gain is applied to all frequencies and then the high shelf filter is slowly bringing up all frequencies above 4khz by 2db with a gentle gradient affected by the set q factor. The peaking filter that's set to 0db gain will simply affect the set frequency with a slope off either side again affected by the qfafctor.

Normally you wouldn't use hs or ls for peq speakers

Usually be a "PK" setting to do speaker peq

Thanks guys.

Can't really get anything I do that I like so I'll stick with the presets. My headphones and the amp itself is pretty good as is, the preset EQ are subtle changes that is noticeable but not overwhelming. Can run it without the app running too.

The DX5II is now much better than an hour ago.

Usually PEQ/EQ is for clawing back some lost artefact from the out-of-box sound (like my discovery of the LCD-5 being wack without EQ) as opposed to positively improving what's already good in my experience assuming the pairing in each person's chain is a good one, so makes sense that fiddling around you've not yet found something suitable by manually messing around.

UPS tracking now says delivery time will be updated soon, it was showing today previously...

The Driver is parked up, running it off a powerbank listening to some fat tunes on his Penon ISN EST80's :D

UK price mentioned for K13 R2R as £279. Cheapest I've seen on AliX is £261 so not worth it given potential challenges of returns.

Same resistor relay as the K11 with more power and connectivity. Would that sum it up in a nutshell?

I have to resist the new toy syndrome....I need a pair of new wireless IEM (Airpods Pro 3) a lot more than another amp, since I actually do love the X9 and DX5II.

Pretty much, but better useability and I think it's a nicer desk unit. I too have ordered my Airpod Pro 3's and I have a desire to try another up market Headphone set though undecided yet (have Arya Stealth, FT1, PC38X, AKG 7XX, Senn 58X Jubilee).

Using Sennheiser HD 599's for headphones which I'm driving with a Sound Blaster X G6, and got Ruark MR1's for speakers. Really happy with the Ruarks. They are just the right size and volume, but I did have to buy the longer cable that connects them.

I tried out Quboz last night and looked up a number of random songs from my Spotify hifi playlist as some on reddit were saying Quboz is noticeably better quality with more "air" and "presence" in the music compared to Spotify and Tidal (lol).

Well, absolutely no difference, and in fact most of the music I have on Spotify seems to only be in CD quality 16/44.1 on Quboz anyway so the true hi res database is smaller it would seem vs Tidal for the mix variation in music in my specific playlist, not that it matters as all of them sound the same lol (excluding the obvious master source differences which can side with any platform that has the better master).

My Arya's are falling apart and was going to replace them with the HE1000 Unveiled but now pretty keen on the ZMF Atrium. The Arya are pretty great for immersive gaming and it seems either of these would be a great upgrade. There is some concern over the exposed drivers on the Unveiled though and I use them for a number of hours a day. Anyone using either?

Nice headphone choices, I also wouldn't be comfortable with the Unveiled and nothing is really worth RRP at HiFiMan as they always reduce their prices massively after a while (not including the Susvara line), the HE1000SE would be the better buy imo, I'm looking into getting the Atrium next for my collection but not sure it would be my gaming pick, especially weighing in at over 500grams!
