*** The Official Nintendo Switch 2 ***

I ended up getting a Sandisc 256 micro SD Express for £40 in a sale for easy store pickup as a tide over, as the £209 for 1TB I was looking at is too much right now as a % of the console cost, just out of principle, half the price of the console itself just for storage seems extreme. The 256 will still be useful as storage in a usb adapter even when I do replace it with a 1TB down the line. Any 1tb that goes on sale for around £150 would sell so many, I think we might get some sales around that price heading toward Xmas and January sales.

Been playing MH Rise with Sunbreak a lot on Switch 2 as hadn't played past high rank on Switch 1, game seems to load a bit quicker and is still a great game even without a dedicated Switch 2 update.

A Switch 1 game also got a great free update for Switch 2, Easy Come Easy Golf, a great golf game with an odd name made up of former Hot Shots golf devs.

Right when the new Hot Shots game has come out, Easy Come Easy Golf gets a 60fps, 1080p update for Switch 2 with new modes. The new Hot Shots game is twice the price and got middling reviews due to poor performance, so Easy Come Easy Golf performs better at half its price. Great team based golf game with traditional three button and stick swing control options, another nice free upgrade for Switch 2 owners.

Edit: Just to add I played Easy Come Easy Golf a lot on Switch 1 and have tested it on Switch 2 earlier today, can confirm the new upgrades are great.

I've been playing Diablo 3 and really enjoying it. It is a great game to just sit and play without having to think too much. I wonder if Diablo 4 is going to be released on the Switch 2.

I'd love to see an up-to-date "proper" Golf game on Switch 2; hoping we'll get the latest EA Golf or 2K's PGA Tour 25/26 eventually - still play PGA 2K 21 but its old now! (and only a Switch 1 game!)

I picked up Star Wars Outlaws, partly just because I was curious about the port and it having been a while since I've played something like it. I'm enjoying it way more than expected though, gameplay is fairly standard with some good ideas that perhaps aren't fully realised, but it's really immersive - well crafted world with interesting characters that have authentic dialogue, and surprisingly good animation detail. Not quite the usual 'ubisoft template' I'm used to, which is a good thing.

It's also nice to play something more casual before I think about tackling (and enjoying) Silksong.

Shame the latest iteration of Everybody's Golf was off loaded from Clap Hanz studio, I never new about Easy Come Easy Golf!! I can't believe that past me by!

Ubisoft have worked wonders with Outlaws on Switch 2, and they just released a patch today that noticeably improves the graphics further.

If you're looking for a game that shows what's possible on the console, albeit at 30fps, this is the one.

I have them on PC, i've started the first one a few times but never stuck at it. Worth another try?
Star Wars Outlaws? there's just one game in the series, maybe you're thinking of the EA Jedi ones?

It got gameplay improvements since it's original release last year, but if you already have it on PC and still can't get into it I don't see a reason to buy it again.

It'll still look better on a powerful enough PC, it's just impressive for the little tablet that is the Switch 2.

I picked up an Aolion branded "projection cable" for the Switch 2 from Aliexpress. Seems like third parties have the chipset stuff all figured out and it's a cheap and portable way to get docked mode up and running when away from home.

Oops, I was replying to Bioshock comments... but wasn't on the last page!

Ah that explains it :D.

The Bioshock games are great, perhaps the same applies though - if you can't get into them on PC then you likely won't on Switch 2 either, they're still the same (old) games and will look nicer on PC.

Unless the handheld factor has you playing these types of games more than before? but no game is for everyone.

It should tick a few boxes for me.

I love a good story driven FPS. I'm tempted for £8!

The stories of 1 and Infinite are first class. Infinite is one of a kind in the way it told its story - powerful stuff actually (and pretty grim). I need to play it again myself it’s been a long time. £7.99 is a no brainer. In fact I’ve just bought it myself and I already own it on PS.

The Lan port on my dock stopped working, anyone have this happen to them and know how to fix it. A USB adaptor works just not the port on the dock :(
