Rather oddly, I just looked on steam and sure enough I already have the DLC, which struck me as odd because I could have sworn that I only got the base game, so I went back to my cdkeys orders, scrolled through and yup, I only bought the basegame. Went back to look on steam and its actually the premium edition with the DLC. So either Steam kindly upgraded me somewhere along the line or the key that I got from cdkeys all those months ago was actually the premium edition and I just never noticed :)
 
If it's not a dualsense controller then just stick to mouse/kb. This game fully uses adaptive triggers and haptics otherwise.

You have to already own the base game to get that price on Game Pass your only option right now is the Premium Digital Upgrade Edition £31.49!!!

RTX Hair is using LSS but can also be done in DOTS, but like SSGI vs RTGI, DOTS requires devs to do more work, so naturally in this update LSS is what's only used. And yes of course, RTX 50 series introduced hardware support for LSS, so no backwards support for 40 series.

No big loss, it's just hair, I'll still be waiting for RTX 60 series whilst you 50 boyos are still mincing about :p

4x Frame gen works really well for me with this.

Which is a good job as it needs it with max RT
GPU?

On 4090 and it runs 117fps with 2x frame gen in the jungle, 160fps+ indoors, without frame gen and just DLSS Performance 4K it's 70ish fps jungle and 91fps indoors. The game'#s technical state now is better performance than it was when it launched I think.

I just cap the game now though to 120fps as that feels great and flatlines that frametime line which is always showing dodgy with DLSS4 games when enabling frame gen. Kinda lol though, being able to frame cap a game whilst path tracing to 120fps at all times basically :cry:


iDTech and Vulkan are a combined force to be reckoned with.

First 4x frame gen. Now this. Must be eating at him inside :D
 
It was the same for Nvidia hair works, remember that? Faded into history as it was just that.

Never cared about MFG though anyway as evidenced, don't really care for 2x FG but at least it's implemented well in path traced games so has its use in this sort of specific application.
