Star Trek : Strange New Worlds

I enjoyed this weeks episode purely for how over the top the acting was with being vulcans, better than the office rip off we had last week.

Bit bored of the "change genetics with an injection" concept, more fun when it's a transporter accident. Overall enjoyed it though because of how strong the characters were and how it played out. Doug a bit too over the top but wouldn't expect less from SNW, shame every trigger has to be based on love or a past romance.

Apart from Tuvix. I hated Neelix with a passion, Star Treks Jar Jar ******* Binks

This series and this thread really frustrates me. I really enjoyed SNW right up until they did a musical, which I had absolutely zero interest in watching. And this thread has ensured I have not watched a single episode of this later run, for me they have entirely destroyed what was the closest thing to TOS.

You let 1 episode put you off watching a show and just listen to others opinions? The musical was actually really good and worked really well.

Enemy mine, loved the new episode, loved the musical one, and even loved 4 and a half klingons, I dont think a lot of people got it tho.

Came here to say the exact thing - blatant rip off of Enemy Mine! Enemy Mine did it better though! One of my all time fave movies.

When the ep first started, i was like, "ffs, an Ortegas episode?", "Is Pike actually going to do anything this season?". But was actually a decent episode.

A very good non-clown episode even though it's been done heaps of times. Not the biggest Ortega fan but she did well. I wonder if this will result in tension between her and La'an in the next episodes however.

This clearly leads up to issues with La'an and Spock, with Erica needing more emotional support Spock will be there to "learn" from this and another relationship love triangle is formed.

Finally a "Trek" episode, done countless times but still well done.
