SFP+ to RJ45 transceivers for YuanLey switch?

I have a new NAS with a 10GbE port and a YuanLey switch with two SFP+ ports plus eight 2.5GbE.
I've verified the NAS port runs at 10Gb/s by wiring it to the 10GbE port on my old Netgear switch. It also works at 2.5Gb/s when wired to a 2.5GbE port on the YuanLey.
I've verified both YuanLey SFP+ ports work by connecting them in turn via DAC cable to the SFP+ port on the Netgear.
I now want to connect the NAS to the YuanLey switch at 10Gb/s. I have two 10GbE SFP+ transceivers - one from 6COM for Netgear, used on my Netgear switch so known to be good and one from Qsefptek that says its for Cisco - neither of these will work with the YuanLey switch, the NAS just does not connect.

So has anyone found a SFP+ to RJ45 transceiver that works with these generic Chinese switches? Or any ideas on which target brand is likely to be compatible?

Lots of Chinese brand names being thrown around here.

I'd stick to major brands and use DAC everywhere. Mellanox connectx 4 cards in dac mode can save you around £25-40 a year in electricity compared to 10gbe cards. Plus less heat generated.

If you must use 10gbe, then the Mikrotik sfp+ to ETH adaptors seem pretty bullet proof.

You seem to have assumed that I've built the NAS so can change cards at will. This is not the case as it's a commercial unit so only your last suggestion is relevant. Thanks for that and I'll have a look at Microtik

I’ve used 10Gtek SFP+ cables to connect a Ubiquiti switch to an Aoostar NAS with no issues. Can’t comment on their adapters though.

What make is the NAS then?

Another compatibility issue with SFP+ to RJ45 transceivers is that originally there were only 10Gb models, and it was only more recently that multi-rate (1/2.5/5/10) became a thing.

Assuming you actually have a decent Cat6a cable to link the two?

The Yaunley kit I have (3 floor switches breaking out fiber to copper) are completely unfussy about modules, unlike my Aruba, I have used all sorts with them. 10Gtek were the last ones I ordered and they certainly work, as do the OM3 MMF AOC fiber patch leads from them.

It's an Asustor. I admit to being an Asustor fanrinkli.....
The cable is only 0.5 metres and is fine at 2.5Gb/s (but what isn't?) but I will try another, especially given @Avalon's comments.
My 6Com adapter is 10Gb only but the other is multi-Gb.

Although, as others have noted, these adapters do run hot and I might just run a longer cable from the Netgear switch.
