I was out at a local festival (more like a fete actually) so it was quite amusing when everyone’s phones went off. Mine went off for a second time about 5mins afterwards though? Am I on the VIP list for the escape shuttle?

It doesn't help when the national press publish instructions on how to opt out. What's the matter with these people?

I see we have people voting already, I assume those who voted 'no' have opted out, I'd love to know why.

And someone has voted 'yes', days before the alert has even been sent out. I guess there's no excuse for stupidity

I knew I would be driving on the motorway at the time... and I was correct... funny enough part of the A500 was a mainly at a stand still due to a crash at the time but I didn't want it going off and having to deal with it when I was driving on the motorway.

Turned it back on.. need the warnings for when the sheep escape their fields in my village.

I wonder how many UK prisoners got rumbled by this.
Didn't think about that. Quite interested to know what happened in UK prisons. Though thinking about it, it's easily circumvented by just switching the phone off or disabling the alert feature in the settings.
