Auros X570 I Pro with Ryzen 9 5900XT Problem

Hi folks,
I've been running a small form factor PC with the above mobo with a Ryzen 5 5600G for a few years and wanted to upgrade CPU to milk the AM4 platform a little longer.
I checked the Gigabyte website and it said that the Ryzen 9 5900XT has been supported since BIOS update F30. However, there is also an Auros website which doesn't list it as compatible.
To be safe I upgraded to latest BIOS version F39h.
First boot with new CPU I get the hardware change fTMP warning and when I pressed Y, the screen goes black and never shows any display.
I tried HDMI Vs DP and I plugged wired keyboard in and still can't get it to boot Windows.
When I put the old CPU back in there was the same fTMP warning, but when I pressed Y it booted up (albeit with a new Windows PIN being required).
I read somewhere about applying all BIOS versions in order got it working for some people. So I did this and also tried new CPU on BIOS version F38 and all subsequent versions (in case the betas were causing a problem).
Any ideas anyone?
I've started looking for an Asus Rog Strix B550-i to replace the Gigabyte mobo as the Asus website says the CPU is supported - but only found 2 used ones in UK, so if nobody has any advice, but wants to sell me one I'd be grateful!
Thanks!

Do you have drive encryption (Bitlocker) enabled on Windows boot drive? If you can turn off Windows Hello and Bitlocker, you should be able to disable the TPM on the board entirely and then replace the CPU without trouble.

Thanks for replying!
I don't have Bitlocker/drive encryption enabled and I tried turning off the AMD fTMP in the BIOS before I switched CPU, but should I also disable TPM 2.0 in BIOS with old CPU installed?
(Only TPM I could find was AMD enforced one in Windows)

Thanks again - I'll fully disable TPM (sorry I keep mispelling as TMP!!) and try again... Getting through so much thermal paste switching CPU's just so I can get into BIOS!!
Thank you!

If you google around RE: Gigabyte and enable/disable TPM, the problem is quite common. Gigabyte seem to have a specific order that you must use to enable TPM/secure boot and I assume this is mirrored when you disable it.

Unfortunately, the black screen after Y is also rather common, but the fix tends to be using integrated graphics which is not much help with the 5900 XT. I'm hoping by having the TPM disabled and no keys stored, it will just allow you to continue.

Warning: if you have any important data on your PC and you're using Windows Hello (looks like you are?), I'd recommend you make backups FIRST.

Thank you so much!
With all the Googling and looking in forums I did, I didn't spot the specific enable/disable TPM order.
I'll specifically look for that and try it again.
I really appreciate the help!
Thanks again.
