Kinda non-issue for me, because sniper bullet speed is already so ridiculous that there is so little bullet drop. Even without range finding it is easy to estimate how little to hold over the target. Not like BF3/BC2 where you were throwing high arcing mortar like bullets.
Range finder seems useful at ranges beyond 100m for stationary targets that you can see at those ranges - against snipers. So sniper autobalancing feature?

At least they have confirmed Server persistance, so if you like a certain server for its map rotation/game mode/custom setup etc etc you are supposed to be able to bookmark it. We'll see, I'm as ever dubious on how well this will be implemented and if they actually deliver what they say they will. My fear is that this implementation will lead to a lot of persistant empty servers as people wont use portal mode and just play through the standard menu.

They have demonstrated the Portal server browser already. It looks functional!

I echo that, still have friends I met on dedicated servers for CS 20+ years ago.

I remember a friend asking me to use my pc to activate a code for him so I wouldn't be surprised with that at all.

I was kinda in that gang but i’m so looking forward to playing it,there is a possibility of a U turn on the no preorder policy :-D

I remember doing this. I genuinely dont remember the game, but I definitely remember doing this once or twice. Hanging about outside in the cold winter night in a queue with fellow losers. Then getting home and doing an allnighter.

Are we still talking about games because that sounds not unlike a few nightclub liaisons of mine back in the 80s :)
