Expensive day picking everything up from the pram shop..

They also fitted the car seat for us:

Little man not overly happy that his blanket doesn't go across the entire row now..

Also received a very impressive baby box from the Scottish government. It's a great thing, especially for those who aren't in the most fortunate of positions.

How do you have it so cheap?! I paid £17 yesterday to be insured for 1 hour driving my old car less than 3 miles to get it sold! Never claimed with 14+ years NCB!!

I'm really excited to get home today. My partner was walking our dog at lunch time and spotted a racing pigeon on the floor who was exhausted. She picked him up and brought him home. She rang the owner who is based in Caerphilly and he asked if we could look after it for a few days and feed it to get its strength back up then send it on its way

I'm far too excited to get home and make friends with it. Will have to keep it confined to the office and keep the cat and dog away but it's a guest that will be treated well

Cheap ? thats not really cheap compared to what i used to have

That being said, i upgraded my car back in March to a 4 series, so it went from £45 to around £66 for the last few months, now im looking around the best price i can find is £56-59.

As said though i have a pending no fault claim (someone went in to the back of me on a previous car) back in may 2021, so im waiting for that to drop off, but that will be off on next years renewal now, maybe it will be a bit cheaper then

I suspect its the price im paying because a 4 series is quite nice, and the value I have insured for is around £16k rather than the previous cars i have had (£7k)

Did you mean your monthly cost? I assumed you meant that price per year

I've stuck with Admiral for a few years now. Their renewal prices have always been cheaper than the competition for me.

Pigeon update. We named her Pedro at first but we think it could be a girl so now named it Penelope. Turns out they poo A LOT. so having to change the paper in the dog travel case fairly frequently.

Going to pop to the pet shop later and get some proper pigeon food for her. I reckon a few days and she'll be ready to fly home :(

We had a lost racing pigeon quite a few years back when we lived near Warrington. We did not keep it caged but after several days we took it by car to Alderley Edge and released it. We arrived back home and lo and behold it sat there waiting for us.
Eventually after a week it flew off never to be seen again. We did not contact the owner, we assumed it had got over its issues and gone back home.

My partner tracked down the 'owner' and they live in Caerphilly. Funnily enough the owner said he knew my partners father from many years ago. Turns out the pigeon racing scene in Wales is quite small!

I say owner, the actual owner passed away a week or so ago and his widow asked the guy who my partner spoke to to fly her. He said to look after her until she's strong again and if we could bring her to near the bridge, she should find her way home.

Only reason we have her in a dog travel box is because we have a cat and a dog in the house. Though she's being kept in a room away from the other creatures

This is honestly quite brilliant. No more hassle of knowing whether batteries are charged etc
