Our 27yr old AEG F/F has died so has anyone any ideas for a new Garage F/F -The one we have is 1.8m high by 0.600 square so about 320 ltr give or take - Not looking for anything quite this big and budget up to £400 but less preferably.
Thanks.
PS. Silly old bugger it 600 not 800.

Yup I bought a Liebherr fridge recently seems nice but no Idea if it will last......

Id recommend John Lewis for stuff like that, or Argos something like that.

Don't buy it off Amazon.....

It's a secondary fridge freezer in the garage and you have another one in the kitchen ? I wouldn't discard getting a 2nd hand one, as I'd done on gumtree when needed additional freezer space in addition
to fitted one in last move, and still have the older FF unused in garage for emergencies.
Also wandering around sue rider shop a while back had seen they do warranties on such products, so another possibility, people replace stuff when it has lots of life left.

Second hand - perhaps not.
Spent two days looking and the more you look the more confused you get. As usual it's a nightmare - Going for something that will out last us both and not pack up.
The thought of not having to worry about it once in place is a good dream.
Got to get wife in here and make our choice.
Thanks for info lads.

think about getting separates (a stand alone fridge and freezer)

Modern fridge freezers are very efficient but that doesnt suit outbuildings when its cold

They need to run to keep the freezer properly cold, but if its cold a well insulated fridge part just wont need the cooling and they can (often) use that as the main "do i need to run" logic

Looks like we are going to have to buy another FF - The new one came and wife can't get over how white and clean it is - she said I am not putting anything in there.
We bought a proper garage one so this will probably see us both out.
She thought it was going to be too small - 102 as against old one at 140 cube but there is space left -She did have a load of junk in old one -She said it was for just in case.
I think we are well out of touch with todays prices.

Just get anything. Theyre all the same at that price.

If it was any other domestic appliance I would advise staying away from Hotpoint, Creda, Merloni, Ariston, Whirlpool etc (all made by the same firm) but in the case of fridge freezers all the main bits were/are made by a couple of companies and all manufacturers bought from the same place.
It might have changed now.
