Hi all,

Recently picked up a G21 330i (estate) that has (mismatched) runflats on each corner. I'm considering ditching them for normal tires in due course, partly because the ride is a bit hard (even in comfort).

Has anyone done the same, or have any thoughts either way?

Ta

My last two BMW's (F36 435D & G22 M440i) came with run flats, I changed them within a week to regular tyres.
Found the ride, grip, comfort, noise to be much better.

I carry a can of tyre gloop & a compressor for emergencies, but touch wood never had to use it.
Thinking about it the expiry date on my can is probably up now!

This tbh. Switched from Pirelli run flats to Michelin Pilot Sport 5 on my 428i GC in Feb 2023. As Rob has said all aspects of tyre performance and experience with them have improved. I have a compressor in the boot, really should over some gloop just in case.

When I bought my G20 320d, it had runflats.

I hit a pothole and it shocked the car so much it threw out a sensor resulting in an engine management light. Needless to say they went very quickly in favour of Asy 6, which are brilliant tyres.
