Same here. Started of strong. But then not been quite the same.
Playing it right now. I am on Visages island. Level 30.
I get fed up with the skills / thingies because you seem to constantly find new ones and have to fanny about with them. And then you can only take 6 skills out of God knows how many.
Or you probably don't, I don't know but feels like a chore.

Didn't help calling them funky sounding things like picos, tint's etc.
I would like to see more games go turn based like this however. They did great with that. Wished the Final Fantasy Remakes were like this. Imagine if they did that and did not bother with all the extra filler and made it as a single game. Would have been awesome.
I love the FF7 remakes for a myriad of reasons, but revisiting the second is honestly daunting.
I will say that if you stick to the main storyline and skip the side content the main narrative feels quite tight, controversial changes aside. I did a fair amount when I bought it on the PS5, maybe 80-90% and I was around the 90 hour mark by the time I got done. Actually took a week off to play it (sad old git moment!) which is something I very rarely do for games. The last time prior was I think the launch of WoW-WOTLK, but even then I had a ton of holidays stacking up that I'd have lost if I hadn't used them before year end. I don't regret it, loved the game to bits, exploring the world was fantastic for me but good lord was I fatigued by the end. There was just too much, luckily I'm not one of those people that needs to complete games for achievements or whatever or I think I'd have went a bit nuts.
Given the divisive reception of the Remakes I think Square is missing a trick in not simply remaking the original side-by-side with the same visuals and old school ATB. It wouldn't even be that difficult as most of the assets are already there for it, I'd happily buy and play both time allowing.
I actually put my rebirth playthrough on hold to play Clair Obscur Expedition 33. Will be resuming it after finish this.
I did all the Intel stuff on the first map. But going forward will be sticking mainly to the main story as I would definitely get burn out otherwise.
Updating the graphics of the OG I would insta buy it. Would much prefer that tbh.
I'm about 6-8 hours in I think but tbh not really feeling it. The battles get very repetitive and I'm not really captivated by the characters or story. Going to give it one last chance to grab me tonight but suspect I'll be uninstalling.
See that is my fear. For some reason this gives me Metaphor: Refantazio vibes. And I hated that.
For £20 I got it for it has been well worth it. Yes characters are not the best but good.enough.
As far fighting, it can be a bit samey for a while, but then you find different bosses and thry are quite different and takes a while for you to get used to their attacks.
I am going to try and complete it over the weekend if possible.
Still see it being talked about at game of the year every time the topic comes up.So what do you think of this game now that the hype is down ?
I didn't play it so i dont know
But i have a strange feeling
It looks like now that the hype is gone, everybody have forgot this game. Like if it didn't exist !
Why do i have this strange feeling ?

I like games that becomes a legend that people talk about for long years
These games are in the history forever (We say a cult game ? sry i am not english)
Well i think this game will never be a legendary one (Cyberpunk 2077 is a legend, and its a solo game)
