Did the Liver King do a number on you?

Look, it's one thing to have a focus on women but it's another to do it to the detriment of men. The statistics don't lie, men have been walking away from a lot of franchises because there was a blatant bias regarding them. I'm not arguing anything politically here, but if you're a business and want to make money you should take care of your current audience, not throw it away for another totally different audience (that clearly didn't exist). I fully believe that both men and women can enjoy Star Wars, but the way Disney went about it was shockingly poor and aggressively antagonistic toward the source material and half the global population. There's been a painfully shallow push in a lot of media to feminise things in the worst ways possible based upon what I can only describe as flawed ideologies pushed by a very vocal but small minority that many women dislike to boot.

That one Ghost Busters reboot, almost everything Disney has put out with Star Wars, there's other examples. You don't make money by condescending to or belittling your initial core audience, and while I really do not like political discourse it absolutely was from a political-ideological standpoint that those things happened.

source. please ensure it clearly shows the bold/underlined bit

Very reddit moment here.

You need a source for the "Force is Female" campaign during a period where Disney pushed a Mary Sue character in a painfully "subversive" trilogy? How about The Acolyte with the most painfully embarrassing liberal arts sing-song nonsense to ever be seen in high budget media?

You sure you wouldn't rather think for yourself?

The entire campaign exists because there was a push at the time to make out masculinity was toxic/bad. "Manspaining" when guys had opinions, "manspreading" on public transport because it's not comfortable to sit with your legs together when you've male genitals and hip physiology. It all quietly went away when guys started to disengage from women, to the point media articles started to pop up left and right complaining about the fact.

You got the photo of the Disney writing room with pictures of Luke Skywalker with a cross though his head? Also I'm pretty sure Pablo from lucas arts was openly mocking a cancer survivor getting a bit emotional when Luke appeared in Mando. wonder why they hate Luke so much?

So your definition of 'blatant bias against men' is has female main characters?

I wouldn't accuse the who ****** trilogy of being anti men but The Last Jedi the worst of a ****** bunch can reasonably be said to belittle it's male characters at nearly every turn. Finn is comedy relief, Po is repeatedly put in his box, Hux is turned into a joke, Snoke is killed off and Luke is utterly destroyed as a character. The guy whose hope tuned Darth Vader becomes an attempted murderer because he has a bad dream. Kylo Renn is the least affected but it's not a good character arc.

"the facts don't like"

"please provide proof of the facts"

"no but here's my opinion"

Well that was obvious! :D

to me this seems a good thing. so frustrating to hear movies like lotr had budget caps and that certain scenes were changed because of a budget. the issue though comes from freely overspending without thought or worry and then making any old crap that doesn't justify the cost.
What.....

I hope you don't have to deal with finances at work.
