Anyone know how long it can take to receive the trade-in credit?

I had an email on Monday from Google saying they've received the phone and 'Assessing your old device'. If it's accepted does it come as store credit or straight into the bank account?

I've upgraded from a Pixel 7 to a Pixel 10 Pro and absolutely loving it! To me it feels like a big upgrade :D

Well, I've had a few hours play and not getting the wow factor - maybe even a bit of buyers remorse.

The esim transfer with Vodafone was a pain and took two phone calls, WhatsApp business didn't like the transfer so messed with that for ages, and the watch transfer was a nightmare too.

The device obviously has it's pros against the P7 pro, but picking up the old phone feels so much slimmer and lighter.

I've also noticed a few little bugs maybe with text boxes not scrolling, keyboard in the way of onscreen prompts/options, and the AOD looks really basic/boring compared with the P7pro.

I'll try it over the weekend, but think it may go back...:eek:

Edit: just spent 5 mins attempting to connect to my Bluetooth speaker. After toggling the Bluetooth many times a full phone restart was required to fix it

In terms of timescales. I got confirmation they had received it on Thursday the 4th, I then on Monday the 8th that they had inspected it and issued the refund. So ignoring the weekend it was only a couple of days, money was back on my card a couple of days later.
 
Just noticed my phone has only registered 4 battery cycles since launch. Charged to 80% every night and used normally in that time. I therefore assume the 200 cycles before they start optimising the battery parameters will take about 2 years.
 
Ah cool, didn't even know it was there!


In other news, I can't help myself, I am exchanging my pink tint mess, lets see if the new one is any better. I was just going to send it back and wait until next year, but shiny new things....

Removed the Mous clear case for a Spigen Ultra Hybrid clear - much easier to hold & use now! It still has the smooth plastic rear, but the sides are much grippier now!
 
I got the stock Google case to go with the Bellroy case for the Pixel 10 Pro.

I like the feel of the Google case more, nice & smooth & the colour is way better.

Might even return the Bellroy.

What do you guys think, which is the better?

Actually got a second Google one after sending the first back for being super slippery... New one less so, and getting grippier and the hand gunk coats it!

Have the Bellroy as well, but use the Google one more.
 
I have neither but prefer the look of the one on the left, others have described it as slippery but if you like the feel of it then I guess that's not a problem. I don't think either is worth £50, but if you're using store credit its not such a factor.
 
I got a Spigen case for my XL and it's very nice - grippy and reduces the camera bump just enough while still giving you somewhere to rest a fingertip to hold the phone if you wanted.

Am finding that the Spigen screen protector does take longer to unlock with the fingerprint and I did re register and enable the option for improved sensitivity. Will see how I get on with it but you need to press down a lot harder.
