Trying to recover money taken fraudulently from bank account

Thread reminds me of the claimed money theft when some used the wiggle cycle shop last decade or so, never happened to me, amounts were far smaller than £1k iirc.

Googling bigo i'ts a childs live streaming chat app of some kind, imagine if used could incur charges -
though hard to believe that, if friend(nieces) had installed it, that wouldn't already be known, or that saved card details on phone that were then applied by that

e: how did card use circumvent sms confirmation message+code number you'd/lloyds usually send on big transactions
e2: ie. no due diligence by bank

If it was a dodgy phishing website. I doubt they would actually complete the transaction properly by sending the goods lol. Kind of weird scam running a clone of Chumbs and actually providing the goods + scamming on the backend. 100s if not 1000s of customers would be affected.

I think it is one of those apps that has an in-game currency, so would imagine that it gets used like crypto, to obscure where the money came from.
