What PC games are you playing?

Starcom Unknown Space. An excellent game. Only gripe I’d have liked voice acting (I can understand why there’s none) and the enemies don’t seem to scale with you. The story is surprising good and your descisions have differing effects on side quests.

Currently playing Cronus - A new dawn.
Survival type horror game, only a few hours in, not sure how long it is but enjoying it so far. Typical lack of ammo, jumpy parts, superb sound effects and very atmospheric.

Looks brilliant on OLED. Had some stutters, when loading sections but otherwise runs great to me.

Still playing Forza Horizon 5. Thought I'd try some Anno 1404 today. I've just spent 2 fruitless hours trying to get it to run in Linux Mint, I'm going somewhere to scream now.

How does it play on your 9070, looking at giving this game a go
Indiana Jones run's really well, I had to play with the graphics to get it to run smoother while still looking decent and get 98 FPS average but running at a relatively low resolution (1920x1080 windowed).

How are you finding your RX9070XT? What recent games have you manage to play at decent settings?

For me it really feels strange to buy a flagship card and feel like I need to immediately start turning graphics down. Most of the time turning off RTX so I don't get to experience that, and I'm the type who likes RTX in games. However, I've been fairly happy with the graphic quality I'm getting at 80 - 144 FPS but would have loved to run it at native 4K rather than a window.

Oy!

Just started Clair Obscur..

Wow, what an opening. Was better done and more moving than most tv shows/films.
Hmm, I've heard very good things about this game, may need to give it a go.

I managed to break my Darktide addiction and got a GamePass subscription. Nearing the end of Doom: Dark Ages. It's good, but I don't find the story interesting at all; Doom simply doesn't need it! I'm also peed off with the poor HDR implementation, which isn't great even after a lot of tweaking. Fortunately it still looks great in SDR, but after Doom Eternal which had excellent HDR out of the box, it's frustrating.

After that it's Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. I played the intro which is visually stunning, and so accurate the to the film scene it's based on.

Lastly, I've done a bit of co-op PvE in the Indomitus WH40K mod for Call to Arms - Gates of Hell: Ostfront. While difficult (as someone new to the entire game, rather than just the mod) it's really good. The panic of your infantry getting charged by a Bloodletter, the thrill of a Baneblade locking down a large swathe of the map, the criss-cross of las-fire and slower progress of plasma shots...even unpolished as it is, it's the kind of 40K RTS I've been wanting to play for some time. Highly recommended to fans of the setting.

If we were still having the ludicrous "can games be art?" debate that lots of people were very excited about a couple of decades ago, Clair Obscur would have shut it down definitively. It is indeed a stunning opening.

Yeh. Actually brought a tear to my eye. Music is lovely too.

Glad I tried it as I wasn't sure it was something I'd like. Getting quite into it now. It's very well written and voice acted compared to a lot of games.

keeps coming up in my emails now and again "its on offer"
not bought it though, too many games tbh
Played that last year with my lad and completed it in one day.

We were almost fighting over who's go it was.

Got over 2000 games on Steam and sometimes find it hard to settle. But that one we could not put down until it was finished.

I've been playing some Helldivers 2, only really play it with friends though, it's great but can almost feel a bit repetitive just playing by myself (or with randoms who don't really communicate).

Just started playing Rocket league after a while as wanted to play some MP game. Forgot how to do all the aerial stuff now but still good fun.

Yeah as much as i love the game i have 200 hours on it as a solo player but i havent jumped in for the latest content drop or warbond because i know as usual a week in and ill be bored playing with randoms again.
The very odd game i get to communicate but its very rare.
At launch i met some nice guys i played regularly with for maybe a month but they dont play either these days.
It really is infinitely better with communication and since 99% of pug players dont communicate its hard to keep playing with Pugs.
