Best thing to stop car door seals freezing together?

Yeah that was my point. When it snows, or rains and then properly frosts...yeah...the occasional, second or third go at pulling the door open can occur. But to have this all the time seems unusual?

On my soft top the windows drop slightly every time the door is opened. I'd rather not have any extra strain on the window regulator/wires if I can avoid it.

I don't believe this is a common issue for people living outside of The Artic Circle. Is it not more likely to be the door or door seal itself is an issue and not fitting correctly?

I never had a door freeze shut until I got a car with frameless windows. As the window has to drop slightly to allow the door to open, if that freezes up, you're screwed. Gummi plege is definitely needed in that case.

Every mk3 Focus seems to have a door seal hanging out of one of the side doors.

This fault should have been a recall.
As far am aware every Mk3 & Mk3.5 ford focus suffers from these faulty door seals

I've had icicles hanging from the roof in an MX-5 before after the roof didn't quite latch 100%.

My mate bought a 2018 Focus MK3 from Evans Halshaw. I told him the door seals will probably fall off as it's a common issue, but he was adamant it wouldn't because "he was buying from Evans Halshaw". Not sure why that would make a difference... but anyway, a week after he collected the car, the driver's door seal was starting to come off. Safe to say he was very unhappy with the dealership

Depends where you live, our street can have frozen cars and by the time you drive to the main road nothing.
My mirrors freeze into the closed position as well.

Also your own individual habits - if someone is leaving for work at 5 or 6am they're going to encounter a seriously frozen car far more often than someone that's not leaving until 8.30 when the temperature being even a couple of degrees higher will make a noticeable difference.

Good point I leave for work at about 05:50 so it's properly cold at that time.
