It's too hot :(

Still a chance of a random hot week in October  though with how the weather's been lately, seems unlikely. Who knows with our weather at this point anyway?

Bit windy out there and lo and behold our great nation decides they will put their recycling bins out in a storm with no protection from the elements :(

to note, the recycling is tomorrow morning not today so even worse
One of our neighbours' wheelie bin put out their wheelie on a Thursday evening last year, ready for recycling collection on Friday, and I remember it being so windy overnight. Woke up on Friday morning to see their wheelie bin knocked over and all of the rubbish everywhere on the pavement and spilling onto the road

That is my point, there is usually loads of rubbish going everywhere because they haven't secured the bin. Most of it ends up down my driveway too because it's like a wind tunnel when the wind blows a certain direction.

Got back from Spain (where it was >30c every day) to Wales last night, to horrible gales.

It's alternately bright sunshine and pouring rain today. Quite refreshing after boring sunshine!

I hate the cold, and the early sunset seems to have kicked in very suddenly making me more lethargic.

Off to Southern Spain on Sunday for a couple of weeks though so looking forward to getting back to some warmth which can hopefully make the cold months here go by quicker!

30mph winds in Cambs which will make evening run great on the way back , the best way around.
noted shed roof has some flapping felt which needs tacking - should have fixed the roof while sun shining.

Spain would be nice, 3 weeks of the evening Vuelta stagestravalogue have just finished

lol that's a drop

September has been such a wet washout, I reckon it's rapidly brought on my winter SAD symptoms, but we finally have a dry long weekend...

Albeit Sunday is a bit chillier.

Jesus we've had months of endless sunshine and no rain, and we get a bit of rain and suddenly you're 'SAD'?!

But it was roasting and muggy this morning. Tomorrow is looking nice too :)

I've had Seasonal Affective Disorder for over 30 years.

Being a postie for 13 years helped me through the autumn-winter, as did the five years of fitness cycling, but both ended in September '22, when covid became long covid that still affects me today. I've not worked since.

The ebike bought at Easter got me out far more often and for far longer than anything else this last three years, but I've barely ridden outside this last three weeks because of the rain.

I've gone from going out on the ebike 4/5 times a week, to not much more than 5 times all month.

During September, I've struggled increasingly with tiredness and brain fog (without having knowingly overdone it on the bike), while noticing I'm snacking more in the evenings, classic SAD symptoms...

That came on over three weeks, rather than a light switch being pressed.

Sorry to hear that. Really irritating how the weather can have this effect on us.
