*** The official Apple Watch {all gens} (and Watch Ultra [all gens]) thread ***

Anyone running an Ultra2 or Series 10 and Watch OS 26, can you confirm that you have, or dont, the wrist flick feature?

I'm sure I've seen somewhere that the S10 also has this, despite it not being on the list of things on the S10/S100 comparison on the Apple site now..

Given both watches are essentially the same SOC, are we now at the point where Apple are disabling/crippling hardware through the OS?
I’ve been using wrist flick on my Ultra 2 throughout the WatchOS 26 beta and now on RC, it’s my favourite new feature.

But, according to the Apple website, not a feature on anything other than the Series 11...
So, will they be disabling it at some point I wonder..

I can’t decide if I should replace my old series 3 42mm with the series 11 42mm or the 46mm. I guess I’ll have to get to the Apple Store at some point and decide in person

Apple website says ultra 3 has gestures?

watchOS 26 release notes state series 9 and newer, they aren’t going to remove a feature.

Well, I wouldn't put it past Apple tbh, especially as they were talking up the new features as is they were specific to the Ultra3/Series 11...

I'll upgrade my Watch 10 next week when the official release comes out. If I remember I'll test it then.
It’s out now.

The patch notes say wrist flick is available on the Ultra 2
  • Wrist Flick is a new one-handed gesture you can use to dismiss a notification, mute incoming calls, silence timers and alarms, or return to your watch face (Available on Apple Watch Series 9 and Apple Watch Ultra 2, and later)
/edit - sorry, didn’t notice I was replying to a post from last Friday

Don’t forget the EID is printed on the bottom of the box which you’ll need to transfer your watch plan over, well for EE anyway at least.

Mine are arriving 17:25 to 18:25 so that'll be good. Quite excited :D.

Edit: Oops lol. Wrong thread. Please delete.

There is and it works well, it’s just the sim transfer involves a manual step if you are with EE.

You are correct. Seemless to be honest and only has to reconfirm comeback card details.
Coming from the 9 to this it rather noticeable the slightly larger screen and it being a touch slimmer.

It’s also in the watch app which is easier to read, was nice and easy this year getting EE to transfer my data plan over.

I'm out of the country at the mo, and I'm torn between keeping my 7, getting a discounted 10, or just getting an 11 on my way through an airport..
I was disappointed last year with the 10, the 11 has done nothing but confirm why I was disappointed in the first place..
