Google Pixel 10 Series (10/10 Pro/10 Pro XL/10 Pro Fold & Pixel Watch 4)

I have neither but prefer the look of the one on the left, others have described it as slippery but if you like the feel of it then I guess that's not a problem. I don't think either is worth £50, but if you're using store credit its not such a factor.
You are correct neither are worth £50.

£15 - £20 tops.

I did use store credit.

Screen protector recommendations?

I never used one on my P7pro but might try again as this screen is flat.

Are the cheap ones like LK from Amazon just as good as the more expensive Spigen?

My spigen tough armour case was £30 this time.
It was £20 for the one that fit my P9, so a whopping 50% bump.
To be fair to them, I guess the Pixelsnap compatibility adds some cost and complexity to the manufacturing process. I paid just over £21 for my Spigen NanoPop and was pretty happy with that.

I always use Ringke cases and screen protectors. Their screen protector comes with an installation kit. You can't even see the screen protector on mine it's fit so perfectly!

Spigen Glas.tR EZ Fit Tempered Glass Screen Protector for Google Pixel 10 Pro XL, Pixel 9 Pro XL (2 Pack)

That's the one I fitted last night, first one still had a speck of dust under it despite my clinical practices in installing it, so had to pull it of and use the second one.

That being said I do like it, and like that it doesn't have a cut out for the camera.

Oh and I use the Spigen Nanopop case, love the grippy texture on the side, almost like sandpaper.

Woke up to find the update ready to go. Haven't noticed anything different myself.

I didn't use my phone too much yesterday, but had approx 3.5 - 4 hours screen on time, and didn't need to charge it over night. The battery upgrade over the P7pro is probably enough for me to keep the phone.

Got my Google Trade In Value today, received the full £673.00 for my Pixel 9 Pro XL.

So th Pixel 10 Pro cost me £426 + £100 in store Google Credit

Pretty good value for me.

If anyone wants a 15% off code for a new Pixel on the Google store let me know!

I've also just got my trade-in value for an old OnePlus 6 I had in the draw, took them a while with the trade-in refund as I was starting to get worried, lol.. all good in the end

Not sure if this breaches forum rules, since the 15% is a referral code with a £50 google credit kick back for the referrer.

Pros

  • Premium look and feel, recognizable design.
  • Brightest display in the industry.
  • Magnetic charging coupling and potential for accessorizing.
  • Android 16; latest AI features on mobile; 7 years of updates.
  • Dependable camera setup overall (if somehow thoroughly lackluster).
  • Ultrawide selfies.
Cons
  • It's heavy.
  • Disappointing battery life (worse than Pixel 9 Pro???)
  • Glacial charging speed.
  • Some AI features are region-limited to the US for now.
  • Poor raw performance, significant CPU throttling.
  • Limited close-up shooting capability.

Just out of interest, where have you noticed poor raw performance and significant CPU throttling?

If the Pixel 9 wasn't £700 on the Google store, I would use it. Crazy price when it's £549 on the Google store on Amazon.
It's crazy isn't it, surprised they haven't dropped it further as of yet. Especially with the 10 settling in at £799.

So I will say any battery concerns that may have been doing the rounds from initial reviews and impressions I must say are not surfacing on my Pro. Easily making it through the day with 5hr avg screen on time and still around 30-40% remaining after a long day. Had the phone out down in Colwall last weekend, a lot of tracking of movement, pictures and videos taken and some spotty reception in places and it was great. At no point did I ever feel like I needed to top up, been really impressed overall with the experience of using the phone.
