RIP Robert Redford

my mum was a big fan of his, may he RIP

I think most mums had a thing for him, mine did for sure and really surprised she hasn't called me yet to let me know he passed. She had a thing for him and George Michael and I had to break that one to her back then and wasn't going to break that Robert passed today too. :(

I suppose he's a bit before my time but I've seen a few of his films and he always enjoyed his performances.

Sneakers is great.

RIP.

Three days of the Condor for me - well did have Faye Dunaway too - RIP now wondering what other leading ladies he starred with
.. from the days when character was as important as action in a box office hit.

( hadn't appreciated Sundance is a ski resort too, txs )

I tried watching The Sting last night, as a quick casual watch I struggled and stopped after 20 mins, mainly the lighting and dialog make it feel more like a musical/stage show, I think I would need to be in a more receptive mood to get through this.

Fear not, I'll watch it in the home cinema later in the week, that might make it better, it removes distractions and puts you more in the picture to immerse you in the scene which can often make or break a film.

RIP though, a great career.

My Favourite film of his, is the sting great period drama and great use of the music in it. Watched it many times never seams to get old.

Thou i haven't watched his entire film catalogue, there is one film called "all is lost" - basically it him in a boat which is sinking / in a storm. from what i can remember, maybe a handful of dialogue (i.e on radio)
Its an incredible film, and just so different to most films you see - well worth a watch if you want something new to watch (i.e. its not that well known)

Loved that old heist movie where they hypnotise one of the guys to gain access to the safety deposit boxes.
Can't recall the name.
