100%. It was clear at the start of the season that we were struggling to convert without Isak, and this is essentially the same team that couldn’t score against Villa despite numerous chances.

We need Big Nick Energy in the second half to stick it in the net. Just hope we’re not a goal down by then. Living dangerously at the moment.

Can see why Howe started Gordan, Barca with that high line, it has opened up space for those 3. Just need to be a bit more ruthless in the final stage

Intensity has certainly tapered off, understandably. Howe seems quite happy to stick two lines of 5 behind the ball at home, we see it quite a bit but it always makes me nervous.
Definitely lacking a focal point upfront, there’s space behind this lot and only Elanga really has exploited it. His fullback has just been carded too.
Big Nick on for Barnes at HT I hope, push Gordon to the left.
 
Yep, Barnes and Gordon have both struggled to convert their chances this season.

Let’s move Gordon to the wing and get Big Nick in the middle feeding off the pace of the wingers.

Also Nick probably not ready yet to play 3 games a week at PL intensity.

Elenga end product has been superb this evening such a shame Wissa is injured:/

You just get the feeling that Barca will feel they’ve done all this before and know how to get results in games like this. Sitting back and watching Newcastle burn themselves out and be a victim of their own inexperience. Hopefully not though!
