Shockingly bad rejoin from Stanek in F2 caused a massive smash for Bennett. That's got to be a serious penalty, maybe even a race ban?

That was an absolutely horrendous way to rejoin the track. Completely oblivious to the cars on track. No way it will go unpunished.

Albon and Piastri both gave the same barrier on the exit a touch. Verstappen and Ocon both in to the run-offs.

On the exit and any run offs are expected at this street circuit and it happens every year as they start to explore the limits. Hitting an apex barrier not so much.

It's always surprising when they look to give it a reasonable wallop, but get away with it. I always think about the fragile cars of yesteryear and how they would fare.

They did say it's not going to be their strongest circuit before the weekend..

Only saw it from the tiny onboard camera at the side, whilst we watched Antonelli, but looked like a bit of a moment for Russell on that last lap.

Yes definitely a circuit that can make even the best drivers look like novices. I believe similar happened last year..

Thats got to be a race ban, bit too serious.
Firstly the laps dead mate but also clearly has not looked or given a damn about coming back on the track in a sensible fashion.

Apparently not. A 5-place drop for both Sprint and Feature race and 2 penalty points covers it.
