It’ll be impact damage, but won’t have caused the tyre to deflate.

Plot twist - you did this damage days/weeks ago, didn't notice and she was just unlucky enough for it to finally fail during her use

So took it to my local indy took the tyre off, sent me to a place basically round the corner from my house who asked custom motorcycle exhausts.

Anyway he reckons he can weld it and fix it, reckons probably only about £20, plus a new tyre I guess.

It’s an easy fix, but will look a mess if not ground down and the weld sprayed over.
But, it’s on the inside so you won’t see it.

I think I'd be buying a new wheel in this case. That crack will have weakened the wheel, and I'd rather pay for the peace of mind.
