Trading the stockmarket (NO Referrals)

Not saying until it's all well in the green! :D
It's only play money anyway, but I am a bit annoyed with myself because I've been meaning to jump in for a few weeks.

Ah that old classic. We only like to say if it's in the green! :D

But don't you want to get others in on the ponzi scheme? :D

This time next week we'll be millionaires!
(I jest, but I'll bet some people made a ridiculous amount of money this week...)

I noticed Netskope has just appeared on the market (yesterday afternoon?). That might be worth a look. That's unlikely to stay as low as $24.

Bought these yesterday at $22.35, I'd been wanting a cybersecurity stock and noticed these launched their ipo yesterday. Going well so far. Long hold for me, see how they do over the next year or two. Surely cybersecurity is a good industry to be in right now.

Crowdstrike has been good for me.
I think if you get a decent provider, yes, it's a fairly good sector to be in!if this bunch are decent (doing my research now) it's a nice early point to be in.

It is. I'm ecstatic if my etf makes 0.5%, in the last hour I'm up nearly 5% lol
Market has pumped like crazy since the fed cut rates. But it took a strange delay to happen.

UK is languishing but over in the states it's still pump pumo pump.

I was super wrong about being top of the market. I mean maybe for the UK it is. Because we have that dreaded budget on the horizon. But USA is just in overdrive.

It'd be a good year for me without quantum. But it's my quantum stocks that have really pumped me. I should have had more faith back at the start when I first mentioned them on here. But I still put 3x more in than I would on a a "risky bet".

MVST and my quantums have been exceptional. But 9/10 of my isa bets have been great. And even the worst are only 20 percent in the red.

UK is more 70/30 good/bad. And I'm cashing out of my little bets over here. As I'm still wary of what's to come.
My big holding in aviva though? I don't really want to sell. But it's very very UK centric.. So undecided on that.

QBTS I bought and Ionq. Ionq is much worse though

Whoops. Sorry. Got confused what we were talking about
Wow. It was a year and a half ago I bought my quantum stocks. I even wrote a post at the time.

I went ahead and bought some earlier, already 4% up. If they are anything like their rivals they will be in the 100s in 5 years.

FYI I have decided to go in on this.
Cyber and looks like they are doing well.
My inspiration is crowdstrike, with a Mkt cap of 15x more. So plenty of headroom.

Pretty happy at the moment.

Intel, AMD, Apple I picked up in trump slump and will hold.

UKWind down but paying 10% divs
Phoenix flat but paying 9%
A random monthly income pie paying monthly divs for giggles

ArkG and Twist biotech volatile but up ~10%

Village Farms (agritech) slightly up

VHYL plodding up 4%, paying 3.5%

Only real lemon is Cybin, one of the psychedelic stocks I’m going to have to hold long and hope for some good trial readouts. My other stocks in this sector I’ve banked some good wins (£10k+ profit) and cashed out, but this one is sat on a £2k loss atm. Ah well.

Overall dividend yield of 4.7% according to the AI summary. 50% cash earning 4% still. No great urge to buy anything else right now.

May dig more into biocomputing as a possible next moon sector and build those watchlists.

I'm perfectly happy with nearly 20% returns since March when i rebalanced my investments and US pension - all in low risk global/europe and swiss trackers including some high dividend ETFs that help counter balance tech heavy global trackers with solid mature profitable business.

As a passive, low risk investment it has served me well.
