Hey all, I had a case delivered by DPD from ocuk on the 2nd of september. The box has obviously been dropped because one corner is crumpled, or perhaps a forklift has just clipped it at the warehouse idk!
Anyway, it's meant to be tempered glass, but I've never had much luck with tempered glass being much stronger than normal glass; it breaks just the same, so I'm worried that the case will be cracked upon opening!
The build will not be completed until October, although it should not take me past the 30-day return window. It's going to slow things up somewhat, returning it, or buying another one, besides, I have to make the most of the time that my computer guy will be free to build the pc, ( I can't build PCs anymore)
So yeah, do I trust that the packaging has protected the case, or do we open it and see? The last thing we need would be to open it, find out that it is okay, and then accidentally drop it, costing me the replacement.
Maybe I'm worrying for no reason,
What do you think ?
open shrodingers box, or not?
what if there is a bloody dead cat in there too?

Do not open it yet.

Get someone to record the opening as it is opened carefully on their phone.

Inspect the case, have the person recording go around to record all angles.

If there's an issue, send the recording as proof that it wasn't tampered prior and that it has arrived damaged (if it was damaged).

great idea, thank you!

Open it and have a look. As others say record it as you do it
. Opened it while filming today, the case is okay, and we managed to make the worst unboxing video ever!
it had really good, tight packaging, actually, so much so that son had difficulty sliding it out, had to tip it upside down and wiggle the box, which looked terrible, but it got out, and we could see through the plastic that enveloped the whole case, that it was a-okay
No dead cat, or alive one either, just a spanking new case just begging to be let out of its plastic bag
Thanks all,
case closed; dabum ching!

Have you sat the case down on something flat/level?
Sometimes there's no physical damage but the case may be warped and will wobble when put on something flat.
