Clair Obscur: Expedition 33

Also, just defeated the paintress and it feels like i made an error. Please tell me this was an unavoidable outcome i couldnt skip? she healed one of my party memebers before i smooshed her.

Oh and what were you for the fight? Online says be 60. But if i can do it before I will try.

yeah I skipped turns for quite a while to see if anything would happen, you have to just go for it. It makes sense with the direction of the story though.

Damn simon fight is ticking me off atm, once I've done that I can actually go and complete the game.

I gave up with Simon, I'm pretty sure I completed every other optional area/fight but just found that one ridiculous. Seemed a shame to leave just that one thing unfinished, but decided life is just too short.

I was about to give up but I ended up just making a one shot build with maelle, I think I could have done it normally but it involved a bit of grinding with my unused characters which I couldn't be bothered with in the end. It still took a bit of work to get the one shot build working and it wasn't exactly one shot, had to get timing and strategy right along with rng.
I completed the game in the end, the last scenes definitley tugged at the heart strings but the logic of it all still took away for me.

Oh when I finally defeated simon and went to the last area some of the pictors that dropped or could be found would have helped a lot... I mean they were really good.

Ah nice, I think I remember somebody else saying they did the same. Working out great builds probably wasn't an aspect of the game I did too well at.

Won't be bothering eith Simon or anything else. Almost at Renoir in Act 3. Not sure if he is last before credits roll, but once but does i am done as need to move back to playing Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth.

Really enjoyed the cut scenes at the end of act 2.

I am almost certain they will make a movie from this game at some point.

That didnt happen to me by the way. She was too busy getting hammered.

I might give this a go since it's on Game Pass, but my old man reactions aren't great for parry games.
Games great and well worth a play, if you’re finding the combat rough you can drop the game to story mode, timings are much more forgiving.

Some of the side content is enjoyable if you like the challenge.
I would go to the endless tower, do 2 levels. Do the side quests for the characters by talking to them at main camp, level a little at dark shores then just visit every location at least once. You can do this first which will make the last fight beyond easy or do the last fight first and it will plop you back at the last flag you visited after the credits roll (got to continue from main menu) and you can then do the end game content. Up to you, I did it because I liked exploring and leveling.
