Weren’t the two RB’s the only two on new softs for the last run?

Shame Sainz couldn’t hang on to that pole, hopefully he can keep Max honest at the start and mix things up a bit otherwise it’s gonna be a little bit of a snooze fest as far as the winner goes.

Good quality though, at least right up until the end :p
I’m not sure it’s going to be as simple as that for Max. Given today’s shenanigans, we can expect more than one safety car tomorrow.

That was frankly pathetic qualifying….

Drivers all made to look amateurish….

Don’t think that’s try pace of Verstappen in relation to others, simply because they all dropped the ball
Unfortunately it was the result of the very gusty wind, they may well be the best drivers in the world but they're going into corners not knowing what will happen. Jame Vowles and Ant described it best at the end of quality on Sky.

Ocon has failed a post Quali flexibility test on the rear wing and will presumably be DSQ'd. Hopefully Bearman is running a different wing!
Indeed Ocon has been disqualified as his car's rear wing during post-session checks exceeded the allowed deflection of 0.5mm.

More Red Flags than a Soviet May Day parade, given Max (and frankly even Tsunoda) have looked pretty quick this weekend I think Max will be hard to beat unless there some weather/Baku madness

Well, im fine with that too :p
Aside from some errors from Bortoleto, it really seemed to be the experienced guys that were getting it wrong in p1.
Hoping this will be full of incidents due to lots of rookies. Should keep things interesting if there are a lot of misjudgements of the walls!

Thanks racing gods. Well delivered. Same for the race please.

Dusty, windy, leafy and drizzly Baku..very nice.

Lando is going to need to do something here and take advantage if he doesn't it sums up again he's not championship material.

That sort of drama is what you want in the race not qualifying.

I can't see Max not wining this one now unless something out of his hands like a car fault.

Max will likelys sail off for a while, but a safety car could bring the McLarens right back in to play.

The most spicy bits will likely be Sainz, Lawson, Antonelli, Russell and Tsunoda all together and behind him on the 1st lap.

I guess if the McLaren’s pull their finger out and get right behind him before the first SC there’s a chance they can race him. But in reality he’ll be out of the way of any chaos. What’s the weather forecast saying? Seems like the rain took everyone by surprise but I didn’t see any of the preamble.

Yeah and the thing is they’re all going to be concentrating on fighting each other and not Max. Hence my point above.

Big opportunity missed by Lando there, although seeing todays session anything could happen tomorrow if the wind is same as today.

More fluffers in that than a 1980s xxx movie!

Have to laugh at alpine. If ever a team deserved to be rooted to the back it's alpine.

Let's change the senior structure again.. Wait.. It didn't work?

Ferrari classic too. Norris blew a golden opportunity, albon too. Very few stand out performances. Verstappen looking amazing as always.

Interesting if very unforgiving qualifying. Similar conditions in the race today would be interesting in terms of unpredictability but also make for a raft of safety cars.

Well it's usually madness here so I've had a few quid on Leclerc podium and Hamilton podium, Ferrari looked genuinely quick until crazy happenings yesterday.
