Greenlizard0 Premier League Football Thread ** spoilers ** [20th - 21st September 2025]

Facing away from his team mate, pass across the goal without once looking over his shoulder. He just completed footballing basics bingo.

Pressure just building up for Sesko now. £70m. Insanity really.

No real improvement, possibly even worse than Hojlund so not good signs from that POV!

I seen that Maresca said that Palmer wasn’t 100%, I guess we’ve got to give him the benefit of the doubt as he’s had a shocker with his subs today. Once it went to 10v10 they should have had their better team out and could have went for it!

Palmer had a minor injury from their CL game and I would say it was 100% the correct decision to take him off. He was icing it on the bench apparently and losing your GK in the first 5 minutes away at United probably isn't the time to risk your star player and the guy that will be absolutely vital to your season.

I'm not worried about Sesko yet. We'll see how hes getting on at Christmas before I start to have any worries.

is sesko really the problem though, wonder how well haaland would far at manu

at least sesko can play minutes which makes it look like a lot better of a deal than Isak.

Seems like he wasn't joking with his strike, even had a strike on his health

Just watching MotD.

Why the hell is Casemiro getting two yellows!? He's a very experienced player, very.

So what was he thinking, just plain stupid that.

Two challenges with no danger to the goal, just so plain stupid!

On a different note, this did make me laugh...

Not sure about the second yellow really.

But he should not have put himself in that situation. Make the ref make a call etc.

Daft.

He’s always been prone to stupid challenges.

On Sesko I think the main comparison to Hojlund is it seems even when the ball does come into the box he’s never near it.
Seems a very similar player and feels the end result will be the same. Bought for a high price, have heaps of pressure with no service and get shipped out after 2 years.

Really? I think that’s a bit harsh.
He’s only played 1 premier league match for more than 45 minutes.
There is literally no build up of pressure from actual United fans.

Not to mention it was his knock-on/challenge that led to the penalty. There's no way Hojlund would have done that.

Amorim/most people have been clear, he's young but high potential so we're being patient.

My theory is that Casemiro spent so long at RM getting preferential treatment that he doesn't know how to temper his rashness. Its crazy the number of reds he has got since he has been at United. One a season and that already one for this season so perhaps more.

I'm hoping he was sent off for a denial of a goalscoring opportunity and not serious foul play so he's back for the Liverpool game.
Turns out he misses the cup game midweek, so available for selection against Brighton

Nonsense - He's played 282 minutes (just over 3 full games in terms of minutes) so far for United after missing pre-season with them. He's just turned 22.

Withdrawn yesterday for tactical reasons.

Villa finally score though I could have saved it, not sure what the keeper was trying.

No idea how a Sunderland player wasn't booked just before, the refs are just clueless
