Just finished this, it was alright. I’d give it a 7/10.
It’s fairly ‘light’ for lack of a better term with the stuff he’s recounting being quite surface level. There’s no real accountability or justification for any actions, just a surface level look at his life and how fame and seemingly infinite amounts of money enabled this behaviour and substance abuse.
What amuses me is that half of the people being interviewed wouldn’t look out of place solo drinking and talking nonsense in a rough bar or wandering aimless around a council estate. It’s alright though because they have had looks, fame and fortune.
His ex wife put it well when she said ‘people get excited by trainwrecks’ and that’s why we cheer this behaviour in media but don’t want it on our doorsteps.
