I've seen the rumours that paracetamol is going to be targeted by Trump / the United States as being a potential cause for the rise in autism diagnosis within the US - is it just the pessimist in me that believes this study will be full of hyperbole and nicely timed with the release of a new patented wonder drug which could replace it, with exclusivity to the patent holder for the next 20 years to make people (Trump and his cronies) rich(er)?

Maybe it's true? I guess peer reviewed information will save us.

We live in the EU don't care if the USA bans it. We won't unless ...

we already have a wonder drug called "cocaine"... fixes all issues, even life itself; when taken enough of it.

Gonna have to ask for you a source on that one good buddy. Ideally a reputable one.

If RFK is the source, that just his brain worm talking and you can ignore him.

Paracetamol isn’t going anywhere, it’s not patented for starters.

So if you have the 'new paracetamol', the best way to grab some marketshare is to frighten people off using paracetamol by convincing them it's causing autism

But that would take millions of people to be dumb enough to believe Trump and RFK… hmm you raise a fair point.

To be fair, there has been some real progress in this area and it wouldn't surprise me. There is very likely an environmental factor at play. A number of scientists have discovered connections with the microbiome so it could very well be something we are ingesting. I've read about links with exposure to high levels of pesticides like glyphosate, so it doesn't seem like much of a stretch.
