Christian Horner sacked!

Wouldn't surprise me to see him pop up in another variety of motorsport, assuming he doesn't fancy early retirement. He's effectively "completed it mate" when it comes to F1.

A lot of media places can not even get the figures correct all guess work

Sky are claiming he was owed 100m and has settled for around 75m.

And you know that definitively?

It will be a lot of money, but outside of Mr Horner and a handful of people at Red Bull, no one will know the exact figure.
I linked to the bbc who stated it, not my words. But as is being said in here the media are all over the place with quoted figures/guesswork...

You'd think the payoff figure would be a fair bit lower than 5 years salary. RB could have just kept paying a salary to him and keep him away from a competitor.

I watched a video by The Race last night who actually thought that the payout to Horner was fairly reasonable given they've paid off his contract that was due to run until the end of 2030; and that actually on a "per year" basis it probably wasn't much different to another F1 principal getting a pay off.

I would imagine that few are actually on such a long term contract though (Toto aside maybe) - also Horner had a whole load of bonuses, etc tied into his heading up most of the marketing/sponsor deals as well so while its a lot of cash its probably a fair lot less than he could have earned has he not been sacked.
