Wasn't sure which forum to post this, but i think this is closest match??
I'm moving house next friday 26th but wont have internet till 2nd oct  normally wouldn't be bothered but EVERYTHING runs via the net now! I see i cant download stuff from Netflix on my PC now, so that just leaves my phone, pixel 8 pro, i did do a quick search and i think you can with a usb c to hdmi adapter, is this correct? does it extend display in portrait mode or will it do landscape?? (it was a year old post) not expecting miracles but something would be better than nothing, is it limited to 1080p? and is the audio transmitted via the hdmi? i dont think phone signal is great where im moving too so hotspot is most likely not an option. If it works on the pixel is there a particular type of adapter thats needed???

It can mirror. But the cable and test it out.

I haven't tested with a USB-C to HDMI cable, but using my Mokin USB-C hub with USB-PD passthrough, and my JSAUX Steam Deck dock both with HDMI out works with my P9. Although it only mirrors and can't resize the resolution to 16:9. The latest Material 3 Expressive update apparently brings better support with external displays, you might need to enable desktop experience features in the developer settings of the phone for that.
