This is great fun, loving it so far, performance is also good on my 3080 @ 1440p, the only minor gripes are the ledge climbing can be a little frustrating at times but only a smal complaint, also those nightcrawler things that hunt you down if they see you, can they do it in daylight too? if not then thats a bug as I have had them chase me in Sunshine

:D

Yes that unlike DL 2, this game without RT looks really good and runs really well.

Nope I launched it to see it and it still looks awful. Lack of shadows on a variety of things etc. makes it lack depth and grounded look. No surprise it runs really well with the way it looks

Hold for RT to play it the way it's meant to be played!

Do you mean Volatiles? They should de-spawn after the night time cycle so sounds like a bug.

Ive only checked out two or three reviews but they are saying whats there is very good but nowhere near enough in there to call it a standalone game which is what they are charging us for.

Difficult one really, its around 20 hours to do the main story on (30ish or so if you do all the side stuff), and can be done fully in co-op...for £50

To compare , Silent Hill F , which is being much praised by critics and players alike, is about 12 hours to complete, has no co-op and costs £70, yet not seen anyone saying yet that it shouldnt be a standalone game.

So is neither overpriced or are both overpriced, why do those reviewers not level the same accusation at Silent Hill F?

My guess is because they are comparing it with previous games in each franchise. But still, if Silent Hill F is only 12 hours then lol. Thats shorter than SH2

Might even be less than 12, the games producer Okamoto estimates that the game is 12-13 hours for a normal player, so if we assume that most game developers tend to exaggerate the length of their games (as its better PR) , then it might in reality be more like 10 hours, we'll have to wait and see what sorts of figures folk on here get in terms of playtime.

tip for anyone playing on a controller and struggling with some safe codes. if you scroll through the combinations slowly youll get a small rumble on the correct number. it rumbles on 50 too but thats never come up as a combination for me yet.

A lot of people like to take their time with games and let's be honest reviewers often rush through games. What I mean by that is that when I see a dev telling me their game is 12 hours long I know it is going to take me 18 hours at least : ) and I think a lot of people are like this.

I get that reviewers rush games but I am assuming that when the producer says "a normal player" will take 12-13 hours, he isnt including reviewers as a normal player. As I say, we'll have to wait and see what sorts of played time figures people actually get in practice
