How do you handle your phone?

Just wondering how other people hold their phones while using them.
Do you have a case or just stick bare?
Anyone using one of those suction plugs on the back for a better more comfortable grip?

For me I'm still holding it bare and getting fed up holding it ever so gently by the edges while watching YouTube in landscape.

I've always used cases (Spigen) but I think screen protectors are a scam. The only shattered displays I've ever seen are broken screen protectors. I've only ever broken two screens and they were events violent enough that a screen protector wouldn't have helped. The other day I left my phone on the roof of the car. It came off around a bend at 60mph and apparently landed hard enough to remove the cover. Aside from a small chip on the corner on the back side it's fine.

I'm pretty rough with my phones; They're far more resilient than people give them credit for. When my iPhone 13 Pro Max gets dirty I wash it under a tap with hand soap.

I use a pop socket, I thought they looked silly until using one and now it's almost essential. I didn't realise at first but the strain on my thumb reaching across a larger screen was what really made the difference, it feels so much more natural now.

iThings have always been too slippery naked for me to get on with.

Have always used Spigen cases without screen protectors and my old iPhone 7 hit the deck numerous times without even scratching the screen whilst wearing one.

My iPhone 15 is fitted with a Spigen Tough Armor MagSafe case which does make it a little more chunky than I’d really like, but I know that even my clumsy self isn’t breaking it anytime soon.

Naked, always.

They do sometimes meet their fate with the floor but that's why I have Apple Care.
Not to derail the thread, but I just saw this is the Apple Care terms:
Find My must be turned on at the time it’s lost or stolen and throughout the theft and loss claim process
So if a thief snatches your phone while unlocked, and disables Find My, then no cover?

I'm not an iPhone user but it feels like this is the sort of thing that would require another step to authenticate. Just googled and yes it seems that's the case, same for android too.

Bought an apple transparent case with my iPhone 17 and it's so slippery. I've ordered a Spigen as a replacement.
No screen protectors in over a decade.
I hold it like, well, a phone.

I'm still on an iPhone XS Max... and went naked about 2-3 years ago, thinking I'll keep using it until cracks / breaks, then I'll get a new one.

I really like it without the case, and hope it lasts a few years yet.

Case and screen protector. I dropped a previous phone before on the way to work, left a few dents. I also tend to accidentally sometimes bump the phone in other things so the extra protection is just for peace of mind. As for the screen protector, it's not for drop protection (that's more what the case is for) but scratch protection. I tried to go without it with a previous phone before (different from the one I dropped) but after a couple of years the micro scratches got more noticeable. With this I can get as many scratches on the protector and then replace it when I need to.

Not too sure, I only have the option for damages. Though I don't think it's that simple to turn 'Find My' off as I think you need to actually type in your password. I could be wrong though

Always used a Spigen Tough Armour on both Samsungs and iPhone. Can’t imagine running them without that a case.

Never bothered with a screen protector.

I always use a flip case that I can put my driving license, debit card, bus pass and Blue Light card in and a bit of cash.
I was in Brighton a week ago and two young women sitting by us mentioned our 'old peoples flip cases' and I looked at their shattered screens and said 'We've worn the t-shirt, that's why we have flip covers'.

Naked always naked, in over 20 years only dropped/damaged one phone so far and all that needed was opening it up to refit a ribbon cable which had come loose though there was a tiny bit of damage to one corner. Truth is I've been a bit lucky but I work in a fairly physically demanding industry and see all my colleagues phones which are stained, battered and smashed even with cases and screen protectors and just wonder how - mine always still looks pristine.

EDIT: My backup phone has a silicone protector but it came fitted and I can't be bothered to remove it.

to be fair my phone is scratched to hell and back and I could just get the screen changed for £25 but I don't really care that much.

It's a device to be used. Not like it's some fancy watch I'll be handing down to my child lol.

Slim case + matte hydrogel screen protector.
Using the screen protector more for the matte surface than the screen protecting effects tbh.
