How do you handle your phone?

Always bare, I never understood people who pay so much money to get the thinnest best looking phone they can, then stick it in a massive thick plastic case.

Perhaps you have never seen as many smashed screens as I have.
Saw a bloke drop his brand new S25U the other week, it was like he was holding a lolly and it just flirted out of his hand.
Saw a woman drop her phone over the side of a ferry earlier this year, again a bare phone that flirted out of her hands.

I've always used cases (Spigen) but I think screen protectors are a scam. The only shattered displays I've ever seen are broken screen protectors. I've only ever broken two screens and they were events violent enough that a screen protector wouldn't have helped. The other day I left my phone on the roof of the car. It came off around a bend at 60mph and apparently landed hard enough to remove the cover. Aside from a small chip on the corner on the back side it's fine.

I'm pretty rough with my phones; They're far more resilient than people give them credit for. When my iPhone 13 Pro Max gets dirty I wash it under a tap with hand soap.
I have often thought that about screen protectors as well,
however, where screen protectors do come in handy is they prevent the screen getting scratched.

I always end up scratching my screen and then it annoys me for the rest of the life of the phone.
so having just taken delivery of my new phone I've fitted one.
but this is also the first phone I've had for about 5 years that has a totally flat screen

as for the OP, I drop my phone far too often not to have it in a case, i've had to wait 2 days for my case to arrive for my new phone and been nervous the whole time, especially as its the first brand new phone I've bought for 5 or so years (normally go 2nd hand to save money)

Have to have a case as invariably I'm often outdoors and although I rarely drop my phone, if it does slide out of a pocket or something it'll most likely hit a sharp rock.

As my phones get wet, dirty and basically eventually die of some accident, I don't bother keeping them pristine.

I would use it bare.. But for some reason phones are too slim to hold comfortably now and often too slippery
