Sadly not. Only suspensions from totting up of yellows result in a competition specific ban, red cards are the next game(s). Obviously this only applies to domestic fixtures.
 
Bit of a banana skin for the current champions tonight I feel. No idea what the team will be given how much he changed it at the weekend. Would hope he starts with a strong one and we can put the game to bed before half time and coast to the end. :D
 
Ekitike's celebration is one of a threatened man. The lad is terrified of Isak.

Meh, I don't get the shirt removal instant yellow card really.

It's not like he ran down to the other end of the pitch and celebrated in front of rival fans.

I know "them's the rules". But why not let a player celebrate a goal...

He should know by now not to do it as it gives a booking, but yes, its a stupid rule which only still exists for historical reasons rather than current reasoning (much like the tv blackout on 3pm saturday matches) and should be abolished these days (much like the tv blackout on 3pm saturday matches)

They can celebrate in 100 other ways. They just aren't allowed to take their shirts off. Its a really simple rule that all the players know. Zero sympathy for any player who decided to do it anyway. Especially stupid when you're already on a yellow.

Just more a moan at what seems to be a defunct rule.
 
I see Slot didn’t pull any punches on his view of the second yellow. Fair play to him, I imagine ekitikes ears were ringing on the drive home!
 
Looks like Leoni injury is an ACL, which isnt good at all. At least he is young so should be able to recover but he'll be out for a long time I expect.

It’s a weird thing for them to enforce and to get hung up on when they don’t book players for being insufferable **** when rolling on the floor like they’ve been shot, etc.

Oh its stupid but who cares honestly. Its a really simple rule to abide by.
