Seen this on sale and thinking of sticking it in a matx build with a 5800x and a 2070s....not many reviews about but the one I've found rated it for a budget PSU...anyone got any thoughts on it.
Only down side for me is it's not modular but it does have flat cables ..

I can't remember the last time I saw a silver rated psu. I wouldn't buy one, for one thing it's by Gigabyte plus it's made by the same OEM as the exploding psu's, MEIC. I would trust that about as much as I would trust a Kolink psu.

The MSI 650W Bronze Power Supply MAG A650BN for £49 seems to review well .

What's your max budget ?
I hadn't seen that one. I looked at the BNL version which is seemingly a death wish...
Budget is as little as possible as this is an extremely budget build...keeping my eyes on the MM for something really..but don't want a death trap either

We often reccomend that one for budget builds, for me an extra £15 to £20 will get you a 750w modular , gold rated PSU with a 10 year warranty which is worth the stretch imo.

NZXT C-Series 750 Watt 80+ Gold can be had for £65.

have a look at the LTT Labs reviews and see if there are any that you like the look of. Not all brand name PSUs are good and gold or better rating also doesn't necessarily mean good.

That being said, any PSU with a 10 year warranty is almost certainly going to be good as no manufacturer in their right mind would give that sort of warranty without properly testing the PSU.

Here is a review of that NZXT PSU mentioned above, it's pretty good for the money and I don't think the negatives are really that important when compared to the pros and the price.
