Dying Light: The Beast

I'm really enjoying the game so far, but performance is spoiling it a bit.

I'm running the game at 1440p on my 4070, but fps is all over the place unless I drop the overall quality down to 'low', which makes the game look a bit naff.

I know my CPU isn't the strongest but I thought the game would run well enough.

What are the best graphics settings to use?

Picked t his up today and am enjoying it, keeps saying im not connected or something. Is that for saving?

It's a bug and the developer is aware of it and looking into it. verifying files seems to have fixed it for me i think.

We are aware some of you may encounter network connection problems. We are investigating this issue - verifying integrity of game files is a known workaround, but it may not work for all of you. If you encountered problems with connection, please send us your logs at [email protected]

Ah ok, I will try verifying files tonight, cheers. Seems to be saving my game fine though.

My next big title was a toss-up between this and BL4 - and this is currently leading the way. I've spent many hours in the first two - and by all accounts this is just an even better version. I hope it keeps me going a bit longer than 12 hours though!

Are you running DLLS and frame gen?

Difficult one really, its around 20 hours to do the main story on (30ish or so if you do all the side stuff), and can be done fully in co-op...for £50

To compare , Silent Hill F , which is being much praised by critics and players alike, is about 12 hours to complete, has no co-op and costs £70, yet not seen anyone saying yet that it shouldnt be a standalone game.

So is neither overpriced or are both overpriced, why do those reviewers not level the same accusation at Silent Hill F?

In one you run around as a buff dude with cool weapons and beast mode, the other you run around as a little school girl with pink bunny ears. Such a hard decision.

Always thought the pink bunny ears thing was an odd complaint as that costume is only with the deluxe edition, so just dont wear the costume :D

Makes me laugh:

Go correct them @mrk

Crying about graphical enhancements because they can't run them even though they can simply reduce/turn off the settings (not going to be forced like in most other games released these days), wonder how they are going to cope when more and more games go down this path of not allowing RT to be turned off :o
