Alien TV series (Alien Earth) : 2025

So I gave this another go as I had a very long flight. Bits of it I did like, Morrow, Kirsch and the eyeball were good. That ending though, wtf and how incompetent were the security forces were throughout plus no one could just shoot the Alien :confused:

Yeah the writing was dire in the end, absolutely poor, which is unfortunate as some elements really nailed the Alien universe and I'd really hoped they could use it as a launch pad for Alien universe content.

It should at least get a 2nd season, so theres that, its been generally well received enough for a season 2. (7.5 on IMDB, 95% on rotten tomatoes, 85 on metacritic) , so I'd imagine a season 2

I really hope they make some changes writer wise for season 2 - Noah Hawley often starts strong but seems to quickly lose interest in attention to detail (see Fargo) and I think it has suffered from a lack of communication between writers on different bits resulting in a lot of really dumb stuff.
 
It watched the last episode but have to agree with the earlier post, this is more about morality and the synths/cyborgs/hybrids then it is about the Xenos.

Wonder if the Xenos will become cat like domesticated animals, you know, does what it wants when it wants
 
My head hurts after watching the final episode, though to be fair there was one really good bit around the middle somewhere, but the rest of it was dumb and stupid as ****, I need to watch something else now to cleanse myself of it hah, maybe a re-run of Rings of Power.

Great pearl jam song, then I burst out laughing.

I don't know much about graphic novels but I feel like this show was a lot of style over substance, would have made a good cartoon book for adults.

Ade kicking butt was the best thing in the whole series for all 15 seconds of it, almost criminal to have not let him wipe the floor with most of the cast
 
Did anyone else find all this lingering shots of Wendy's mouth while she "talks" to the xeno just a bit creepy and over indulgent? Like Tarantino's obsession with Uma's feet levels of weird.
