I've changed my app settings to use lossless

Probably won't make much difference on my Bluetooth headphones or when using car play, but since I have unlimited data and speed on all my devices I don't really care so I set it to use lossless anyway

No setting here yet, there are newer builds of Spotify available but mine isn't prompting an update and won't let me manually install them over the top of the existing build - just says it is already installed and prompts to open it instead of installing and I can't be bothered with uninstalling and reinstalling.

Yeah, I don't have it yet still. I got excited yesterday when Mix finally landed but that was all.

Apparently it's server side and the code already in the current version of apps so updating won't help

Just updated to latest version. 1.2.72.x to 1.2.73.x. I thought that might be it, but nope, still just "very high" in the audio settings.

Yeah sucks, I dunno if having Spotify via 3rd parties like mobile phone providers has any impact on it.

Mmm yeah good point! I was thinking similar around the account type. I do have premium, but it is duo. Could that also be a reason.

I have a few songs in FLAC and various MP3 incarnations and anything above 128kbit/s MP3 is pretty hard to distinguish - the only exception is stuff which is very well mastered/high quality recording with real instruments (also the tracks which really show how the HD600 series shine).
