I started off with just a basic Lidl steak (mainly for the cheap price) but I think im going to have to take your advice and try a proper butcher's steak!

Though I want to perfect the cooking first on cheaper cuts before trying it out on expensive produce

Supermarket steak can actually be pretty decent, in fairness!

No complaints from me in all fairness! But I have tried some homemade steak at friends/familys houses and the best ones they have mentioned that butcher cut is a level above.

ALDI do some good steaks on the sly... Especially for the price... If I'm going to buy supermarket steak I hit there first before tesco or sainsbos.

Got a great picanha there a few months back.

BIR Paneer Madras at Home - Came out well, for my first attempt following Latif’s Guide.
