Greenlizard0 Premier League Football Thread ** spoilers ** [27th - 29th September 2025]

You just cant have a manager that sends half the match with his head down looking at the floor and shaking his head - painful to see.

Looking back Ten Hag was a roaring success.

Again, what does changing manager fix? It's all individual errors. Is a new manager going to stop Mainoo giving the ball away on the edge of their box? Stop Maguire losing concentration? Stop Bruno missing a pen? What changes?

To be fair I do the same. I would happily get paid what he does to do it in the dugout.

Okay so exclude individual errors which are many do you seriously think Amorim is right for utd? You dont ever seem to wan to criticise him or blind to it

Agreed. Doesn’t fill the fans or even the players with any confidence.

I have no idea, it's impossible to succeed when we have this big of a handicap. What does a new manager do differently? I've criticised him plenty, but given this squad. What could a manager do differently?

When players know what they are doing and its working then everything is easier. We didn't lose this game due to those errors. Those were just the highlights. Their keeper should have realistically stopped our only goal. The issue is that we are poor from front to back when it comes to the meat of playing football. Individual errors are what you bemoan when you lose a tight game. Not when you have been outplayed or generally been ****.

Any manager can change basics, formations (may not rule out errors granted), use different youth players, key one however is coach better, inspire a person, to name few examples

A good manager in any role in life can get more out of some people than others.

UTD Cant keep doing the manager merry go around forever (well you can for me :P) but at the same time you shouldnt keep a bad, stubborn one just because of that

Fair play to Amorim though. He can't be sacked due to a dip in form if you never actually have any form.

But we said the same thing under ETH "these players will look better under anyone else" but that wasn't true was it?

Individual errors are inevitable. It’s how the team reacts in those scenarios.

It's nothing to do with that.

Individual errors happen with any manager - But his steed fast refusal to change ANYTHING formation wise is just insane...

You can't keep playing the same way and keep getting beaten badly, and still come out and say "it's all ok - will take time etc"

Spent £200 million in the summer on the front line, yet your most creative midfield player (Bruno) playing deep and closer to his own goal - mainly due to the formation...

I've been in the camp of giving him time - but it's now seriously at the point where it can't continue.
