Man cleared of murdering Jill Dando wins damages!

Yes cut and paste is great at showing people what he is really like (as most on here just think he is some odd loner guy with minor psychological problems & a harmless fascination with celebrities)

Unfortunately - He has been in court for numerous sex offences against girls and women & has past convictions for a few of them. He also had over 2000 pix of girls and women in his room - taken without them knowing.
If that was anyone else, most people on here would be spouting "lock him up for good" - or "cut off the sickos gonads" - but because it's Barry George there is an air of sympathy for him.

I agree - he probably didn't kill her - but he is still a very dangerous loonbin that shouldn't be anywhere near the public in his state. He is a timebomb waiting to explode.

The jury perhaps came to a similar conclusion. He probably didn't kill Jill Dando. But, hey, he's a nutter so we may as well take this opportunity to lock him up.

WHY was he sent to prison for her murder?

Because he was odd and had problems?

I'd rather help people like that then send them to prison for things they didn't do.

You've already pointed out for the other things he "did" he was punished.

I wonder would you be as sympathetic if it was your wife or daughter that is one of the many women he still stalks in Ireland & the UK ? Yes - he still does it.

Do you think the women he sexually harrased and raped are happy enough for him to just get a few pills and conselling - just for him for him to be free to still stalk them and follow them on his pink roller-skates ? Or maybe you could explain to the half dozen or so women who have been to the police since his release - why he felt the need to follow them and make them feel so scared that they made formal complaints about him over the last few months.

I understand what you are saying - but in my opinion the guy is a lot more dangerous than he appears - and I fear he will do something again in the future.

Locking him up for a crime he didn't comit isn't the answer.

You can't lock people up on a feeling that he will do something in the future.

People like him, need help.

he's never been convicted of rape

he's not right in the head though

In 1980, George failed in his attempt to join the Metropolitan Police. Shortly after, he posed as a policeman, having obtained false warrant cards. For this he was arrested and prosecuted. In May 1980,[7] he appeared in court clad in glam rock clothing and untruthfully stated his name to be Paul Gadd, a revival of his Gary Glitter fixation

:D

He was convicted of attempted Rape - and yes I do know the difference.

Convicted 26 years ago of a doorstep attack on a 20 year old language student. He got over 2½ years - serving 18 months — plus another three months for breaching a previous suspended sentence for molesting a DSS clerk he followed from work. Cops arrested him 3 more time after that for Indecent assults involving him putting his hand up girls/womens skirts and grabbing their breasts outside there own homes (where he had been watching them for some time) - these were only a few of the ones that made formal complaints (the police have stated they regularly got complaints involving indecency that were never recorded after the women involved asked for no action to be taken). He was never charged for many indecent assults as the women didn't want to persue the cases.

So he didn't "rape" anyone?

So he served time for the crimes he did...

I'm failing to see why we should lock up an innocent man.

I'm guilty of being obsessed with Cheryl Cole. :o

I only knew recently who Cheryl Cole is. Being in my 30s now, I grew up to music of the 90s, and therefore every time I read 'Cheryl Cole', I always misread it as Sheryl Crow. I don't know if that's just me and my eyesight, or if others do that too? They're too similar a name for my liking.

No, it's the good in your mind blanking her, her music and her stupid existance out of your head. I for ages just heard a name until Cashley **** cheated on her.

Been charged with historical child sex offences.

I'm very sceptical about these so called historical sex offences.

It seems, you get a few people to collaborate a story and they'll put you down for it with no real evidence, a jury will buy into it.

If the police or whoever is behind it, just get a few people to make up a good story and job done.

It's a bit of a long story but I know someone this happened to I don't believe for a minute he did anything of the sort, but he ****** off a lot of the wrong people and they had him for it using this.

So you believe your friend had upset someone to the point lots of police officers were willing to lie to put him in jail?

Yes.

As I said its a bit of a long story.

To summarise it as much as I can, it was over firearms issue, police said he did something illegal and it went to court, but this guy is smart (or at least thought he was) and was good with the law and won.

Rather than just leaving it there, he then counter sued the police firearms team, which I beleive are civilians, and won, and some individuals ended up getting in a lot of trouble.

This went back and forth with the police, for years.... they would try to get him on something, he would then win in court, counter sue for whatever, and win that, and a lot of police ended up getting in trouble legally, and niether lot would back down.

Then eventually, he got put down for some sex offence but adamant he was innocent and there was no evidence.

I mean, you never know right, but I dont think this guy would do something like that either, I am pretty sure they stitched him up, and it was the best way of doing it without needing any evidence.
