Greenlizard0 Premier League Football Thread ** spoilers ** [27th - 29th September 2025]

By the look of things, United can't rely on the teams that just came up to be the worst 3 teams in the league. 2 of them are clearly are not at the moment!

I think Man Utd have a real chance of relegation this season. I just can’t see them improving any time soon.

I don’t think they will, I can see them being in a battle though. Theres a lot of rubbish in the league so they’ll no doubt all take points off each other.

Burnley and Wolves are really bad. Leeds, Sunderland and West Ham would need to get the finger out!

I see Palace and Bournemouth taking pts of few of the top sides this season tbh.
Palace being in Europe might give them some problems later in the season as the squad gets a bit more fatigued?

Brighton beat City and Chelsea, but draw to Spurs and Fulham from winning positions, and lose to Everton and Bournemouth (although Bournemouth actually look decent this season which I did not see coming!)

I've been saying it for a while top 10 at best, relegation a possibility.

With that in mind today's result was as expected. Poor players and poor management doing about as poor as you'd expect.

Hard to pick that set of results yesterday, apart from City. Feel confident about a Newcastle win tonight still.

Someone commented earlier in the thread about West Ham appointing Nuno so quickly to stop Man Utd getting him. I think there's a bit of merit in that.

I watched the extended highlights. No idea how that’s not a red card and if the pen is scored then against 10 men it’s likely a different result. When your lucks not in it’s not in.

Trouble is the luck isn't there, so how long do you stick with the setup that is unlucky?

I have no idea how he is in a job, missed a clear foul and red card before this as well. It’s not often I think a ref is actually wanting a certain team to win, but it certainly felt like he wanted Chelsea to get a result.

No intent by Gusto and I would not have wanted him sent off, but it’s definitely a foul.
