Hades

wont spoil to much but theres so much more content then hades 1

unlocked all weapons now and feels like the game is just starting :D so fun! only played 14 hours so far.

Tested it on my M3 MBA. Runs great (albeit I need a workaround to start it) since the new Mac OS dropped.

I got the 3rd weapon that looks like I am holding 2 massive candles that shoots out fire....still grindy, still a lot of bashing the X button, still too similar to the 1st spear weapon. A welcome change that the Special (Y) is now not a single projectile.

May be I am picking the wrong boons....

Yep def grindy and now everyones cup of team. Finding the right boons and long with decent keepsakes are a must. The candles/flames is my favourite, but mostly hold down the basic attack

What is your fav Boon?

I like the freeze one the best but only got it once. I keep getting Hermes or Aphrodite more than the others, and that fire one.

Also, a lot of rooms on lvl 1 are not a split but single door. I thought they are all doubles. That said, I managed to get down to lvl 3 now. Beat the under water band 2nd try and even that i messed up for ages. Thinking I needed to hit the pearl thing only but it was the entire band.

Just completed my first underworld clear. Enjoying it so much at the moment, definitely Hades 1++ but distinct enough that it justifies itself as an individual game. The sheer amount of content compared to Hades 1 is incredible, I mean it has two completely individual routes that feel so distinct and are effectively the same length each of Hades single route. I really like how distinct the locations feel, alongside the differences in how you progress encounters this time. Just need to get the sirens song out of my head now!

Heista and demeter! Tend to just mix it up though, wanna avoid meta builds for now and find what works best for me

I also just got my first clear on my 17th run. Got a very nice build going. Got too greedy at Chronos and almost died, luckily my build which had a bit of everything carried me.

Now I can try a different weapon and also try the other route which is still locked as I spent the materials on other upgrades.

I can see myself playing this for many, many hours.

I am actually struggling to get into this....still too grindy for my liking and I hate that teacher. I have not been able to avoid that sheep magic thing. I hate she puts up a shield in the fight and i can't hit her. I also hate the controls and movement of the character. It seems auto aim doesn't work have the time and I am attacking in the completely wrong direction.

Still bashing the X button non-stop and it is really getting me down. The cast is crap and not strong enough to kill anything on its own.

I unlocked the axe, I can see that being good since I can kill with 1 hit and it seems to be slightly less X basing but still a lot of dash and X repeatedly.

Why force yourself to play a game you don't enjoy? If you find it "grindy" that means you don't like the gameplay loop and that's ok, playing it more won't change the fact that you don't like it though..

I like the loop, but i am tired of the same button bashing of the same keys with the first 4 weapons i've unlocked so far. I absolutely adore the 1st one.

I've spent the weekend on it and I'm over the grind now tbh, I got my enjoyment out of it and just watched the endings for multiple completions to get the full story. I'm sure I'll get the itch to play again at some point but for now I think I over did it by playing so much. edit: I'm talking about the first Hades.

You rarely can avoid the sheep transformation, just keep to edge of arena and dodge. But agree cast is terrible - just use it as a stun/slow.

I think it's no more button bashing than the first tbf. Axe is good just use the charge attacks - spin to win

The sheep transformation is easy to avoid once you know how. The trick is to run around and dash directly "into" it at the last second. You'll just dodge through it.

Very much enjoying this. Clocked in 13 hours so far. I've unlocked a fair amount of stuff, and reached the last boss but haven't managed to beat him yet. Also haven't done the surface yet either, so I don't know what to expect there. If it's basically a whole second map with multiple locations same as the underworld, then you certainly get your money's worth.
