Internal Cable routing help....

I've got a cube acid 2020 and want to fit a dropper.

I'd obviously prefer to route the cables inside the frame. The bike is running a 1x and has internal routing for a front derailleur so I can get the dropper cable into the down tube OK, but is there a way of telling if I will be able to get it past the bottom bracket and up into the seat tube all inside the frame?

There is no cable entrance at the bottom of the seat tube does that mean anything? Would the cable always expect to come out to pass round the BB before going back into the frame on the seat tube?

Cheers all!

@Hodders Very curious if you even found an answer on this question. I want to do the same, but I'm getting more and more the feeling it's impossible

Generally you'd need to take out the bottom bracket to have a look to see whether you can route through it, as it depends on space and the cable size. Is the existing rear derailleur (if you have one) internally routed? Similarly with the rear brake cable/hose.

Thanks for your fast answer.

I've also got a Cube Acid. Either 2020 or 2021.
Rear derailleur is internally routed until the bottom bracket and then externally. The rear brake is completely externally routed.

In that case I’d be very surprised if internal routing was an option. Since the other cables route externally before the BB.

So it’s unlikely you’d be able to get anything from the seat post.

Given you have 2 other cables externally then I’m not sure I’d be bothered about an extra one from a dropper.

Never really found an answer. I reckon it could have been done but the cable would have gone round a pretty tight bend.

Ended up getting a new bike (with dropper from the start).
