Car competitions anyone won?

Retroshite has one for a Trabant estate. Given that my wife absolutely hates them because I never shut up about them whenever we're in Berlin, it'd be rude not to have a punt.

Plus I'll probably be the only schmuck dumb enough to pay for it.

Having lived in Hungary in the 90s for a few years, I never understood why people like them so much. They're ******* terrible in every single way. Literally zero redeeming features. Boggles the mind, really.

My wife agrees. For her, the Tabant represents everything that was wrong about the eastern-bloc countries. She'd be quite happy to set fire to one.
Although she does have a soft-spot for FSO Polonez cars.

Oh make no mistake, they're hateful, horrible things. They're so much more than acar though, they're a massive part of European history. As far as storied cars go and the influence they had, few are as high up as the Trabant.

I guess, but as Rilot says, they embody everything wrong with that part of the world. Perhaps if you never lived during those times, it'd be intriguing.

The in-laws still have her grandfather's car - a Polonez Maluch. It's extremely uncomfortable, not really practical, and cream. It still works just fine though!
