Imgur has blocked the UK

I'm sure others have seen it too now, but have started seeing "Content not viewable in your region" on images posted on the forum that are being hosted on Imgur, unless connected to a VPN.

I mean there's better alternatives to Imgur anyway, but still...

Seems confirmed by support that they've officially removed the UK from geographical regions they serve and chances are it is permanent - they have no plans to change it at this time but something they might look at in the future.

Even if I avoid using it, there's still a lot of others on the internet that uploads to it. Reddit for example, can't see their images any more since it's blocked. Was not expecting the bill to affect them since they don't allow 18+ content anyway.

Most forum users switched to Imgur after Photobucket killed itself. I think this will be the final nail for a lot of UK based special interest forums.
