Noel Edmonds' Classic Car Collection Gets Flooded

Can't see the issue, just need a proper detail and they run fine. Interiors need some TLC, but I bet most would be a deep clean.

They were in 1 metre of water. That's an issue. That can involve tracing electrical issues that take so long, it's "cheaper" to rip out entire looms and replace them. That's when costs get uneconomical and hence why flooded cars get easily written off.

Cars regularly get wet when driven. Even if they were in standing water, so long as they're allowed to dry properly they should start. I've seen plenty of youTubers jet wash an engine bay without issue, even on older cars (TastyClassics).

Theres a difference between jet washing an engine, and having a car submerged. Once you leave the area where all the connectors are weatherproofed... the looms are usually unprotected form ingress.

They don't get wet inside though.

Usually you can fix these things. it's salt water which does the real damage. Most of these cars are to old to have complicated electronics. Just physical switches which do a thing, as it should be.

he is looking good for his age. I hope I look half as good when (if) I get there!.
also always thought he seemed a genuinely nice bloke. hope he gets his sentimental cars running again.
my mate had a soft top DB9 Volante. would not have been my choice if I had his money to spend perhaps .. but for a (semi) practical super car it was v nice!.

I remember when he was pitching to be the head of the BBC, but he practially got driven out of the country because he said he'd scrap the TV licence and doesn't pay it himself.
